Five Parsecs from home

I have enjoyed Five Parsecs from home, I recently got inspired to make a new campaign. This one is set in Mega City One. I created Squad Vandris a group of Mega City One judges that are investigating the criminal goings on in Sector 46. So far, they have been on 4 missions and are picking up clues about the criminal organisations impacting the sector. We are moving from random assignments to more of a police procedural format. These missions are up on my YouTube channel. Here are some pictures from these games. This is my map of what is left of Mega City One. After the chaos plague there is not much left. It's a time of rebuilding. Unfortunately it's also an opportunity for criminal enterprises to emerge to fill the power vacuum. The team have set up in Sector 46 which is on the peninsular jutting into the Black Atlantic. Ships bringing in relief supplies could also be smuggling black market goods or people into the city. Here is Squad Vandris, they act a bit like a SWAT unit d...

Five Parsecs - Gorn with the wind

The crew travel to Obion. There is time to reflect on what we learned, and we gain one story point. We don't need any kind of approval to undertake Federation missions. Obion has high winds which can blow particulate matter causing a reduction in visibility We manage to repair the beam pistol but not the battle visor. We manage to requisition a couple of cartons of self-sealing stem bolts and more usefully two stim packs and 2 med patches, we also get one turn of supplies. While exploring we acquire a blast rifle and a battle visor. We also get a container of Omega 17 which is worth 5 credits. The Captain comes back with a new Federation mission, we need to go and recover a black box and fight off anyone we come across. These are my Gorn. In the game they are Rage Lizards. This gives them a toughness of 5 ouch. Here we are deployed across the barren landscape. The Gorn use the tactical AI so deploy in teams of 2. The Federation team is spread out hugging cover. The Tactical AI say...

Five Parsecs - No country for old Klingons

Image
In part two of our battle to defend Pengetera we need to fight off a second wave of Klingons. There are now 9 Klingons with a leader 2 specialists and 6 troopers. I changed the trooper's armament to match the models so 2 have rifles and 4 have pistols. Heghlu'meH QaQ jajvam! I'd much rather make someone else die for their cause... While this would be a great roll in kill team its less useful in 5 Parsecs where you want to roll low for initiative. Romjin and peck activate in the Fast phase, both experienced officers bring down a Klingon including of the specialists with the feared Klingfire pistol. The Klingons have adopted their patented Angry Mob formation. Aggressive enemies deploy in one clump. Other enemies deploy in smaller groups spread out across the table. Here is everyone that didn't move, moving up. At least we don't have to worry about sneaky flanking movements from the Klingons as they storm down the corridor I got so excited by the initiative rolls I fo...

Five Parsecs Kingons on the Starboard Bow.

We received orders from Starfleet to support the defence and hold off the Klingons. The Peregrine had been forced out of orbit by the Klingon ships and was now lurking in the outer system. We didn't have a way off planet so being assigned to planetary defence was about as good as it was going to get. We are defending inside a Federation facility when we get word that the Klingons have attacked nearby. Here we are spread out into 3 supporting teams. The Klingons are deployed in their traditional aggressive clump. The Federation team win the initiative and then the Klingons are surprised by our attack and don't get to act in the first turn. The teams initiative roll. most of the team get to act in the fast phase. Here is the federation team after moving up twice. Dodson stuns a Klingon while Peck and Chung miss. Dodson takes down a Klingon, earning him the bonus XP for first kill The Klingon return fire is marginally effective stunning Romjin. Romjin kills a Klingon specialist wi...
