After having his pirate ship sunk from under him by Mazmar and his crew of undead revenants. Arzag finally makes it to shore and heads for the nearest village. He arrives at what looks like a rundown fishing village and heads to the local tavern for a seat by the fire some ale and food. One of the village leaders runs into the tavern and cries out that a baby has been taken. The suspect was last seen heading into the local graveyard. The village elder offers 30 gold to rescue the baby, Arzag might not be good at maths but 30 Gold to rescue a baby from one person smells fishier than the tavern food. What could go wrong? Arzag stands up and accepts the deal. He then heads off to the graveyard. A village called Eric wants to come along and help. Arzag growls in his best Chuck Norris voice, "I work alone.  Mazmar's ship is partly held together by magic and he has a ghostly bodyguard. Mazmar is carrying out his ritual in his casting circle when he spies Arzag and Olivia. He waved forward his spirit guards to finally complete his triumph. The two sides confront each other across the deck of Mazmar's ship Olivia and Arzag both drink small healing potions Arzag moves up but his first attack misses 11-12. A revenant misses Arzag 5-9, Arzag Heavy Blows, 12-9, misses 9-9 and then succeeds again 14-2 The rest of the Revenants move up and start to outflank Arzag. Arzag misses 11-14, the Revenant lands a heavy blow of Arzag 11-9 the Revenant moves up and stabs Olivia Arzag heavy blows the Revenant 10-7 ending it, he then moves to constst the route to Olivia. We move straight to the second combat encounter with the recently risen members of the former crew. The heroes retain their positions from the end of the last battle. 12 zombies randomly deploy. Unfortunately, Arzag and Olivia are now widely separated and there is not a path where they can quickly get back together. Fortunately the zombies are not as hard to defeat as the Skeletons. Arzag starts off the action with a heavy blow to the zombie behind him. 13-7 He the moves over and hits yellow shirt zombie for 1. Arzag has been captain of a pirate ship for a while. Rumours are growing, of a ghost ship that attacks everyone it encounters and leaves no survivors. Possibly something like this. It turns out that the pirates crew is led by Mazmar the Malavolent. He has used the necromantic knowledge gained from a recently acquired grimoire to raise a crew of undead revenants and now sails the seas making war on the living Here is Arzag and Olivia, can they fend off the horde of undead fiends?  As the ghost ship approaches a wave of despair rolls over the crew of Arzag’s ship. The crew start dropping their weapons and slumping down. Arzag manages to break the spell with a rally cry. This gains the heroes and advantage in the next combat. Then from the pirate ship come two volleys of arrows then a wave of skeletons. The mortal crew are pushed back from the rail and the deck becomes slippery with blood. This ill omened and daemon haunted book has recently come back into the world of men. Rumoured to be penned by a prehuman civilisation, this book contains ancient and powerful knowledge. Changes to the status quo often cause realms to topple and cities to go up in flames Here is the cast for this adventure, Arzag followed by his "partners" Belatrix and Igor. Then the Priest of Erlik, his pet daemons and guards and the mysterious mad monks Arzag needs to find some action for his crew, a ship or coastal caravan we can loot and get wealth. He can't simply sail his pirate ship into town so he takes a small boat and rows his boat into the port of Agrapur at dusk. He wants to make contact with Juma a comrade from his days as a horseman who might know where the merchant vessels are and can connect him to a less ethical merchant that will accept stolen goods.
