7TV - The brave Lads of Walmington on Sea

Image
Last weekend Alan and I played a game of 7TV. This time I played the Home Guard while Alan played a group of American imported into the country by A Vampire recruited by the Ocult departments of the Nazi empire. The local Vicar had been concerned about a proposal to undertake excavations in some local ancient ruins. Alerted by a local policeman the Vicar and Verger set out with some of Captain Mannering's boys and Hodeges the ARP warden to sort out those ruffians and prevent them doing any harm. We have a military unit consisting of Mannering, Wilson, Jones, Fraser and Walker. Private pike is fresh back from a course of Commando training, Hodges the ARP warden, The Vicar is the VIP and the Verger is the Comic Relief. Here are the Home Guard ready to go. Somewhere that policeman has given them the slip. Jones starts panicking and it takes several nearby squad members to calm him down. (Alan played a special effect on several team members, This did give me some extra plot points. Her

7TV Cthullu Pulp - Scenario 2

In this scenario Colonel Lethbridge Stuart is deploying a detachment from a not quite TARDIS an led a squad towards what looked like a run down and disused cannery. A detachment of agents disguised as naval crew were disembarking from a speed boat last seen emerging from between two cargo ships, driven by Indiana Jones. Here is the factory, it certainly doesn't comply with the requirements for a rental property.  One of the Crew wandering about. Thomas and I were again playing the bad guys. We got an event that was a free move before the turn. This put us in a good position to attack. The UNIT squad deploying from a phone box. It's like one of those circus cars where impossible numbers of performers come tumbling out. You came here in that thing you are braver than I thought. The ship crew disembark from their boat The factory workers prepare to defend their facility. A tentacle monster rolls over an ensnares the Colonel with its icky tongue. However, the colonel is made of ste

7TV Cthullu Pulp

Alan, Richard, Ed, Thomas and I played Alan's 7TV Cthullu Pulp game.  7TV is a game based on TV shows. There are different campaigns based on different TV show ideas. This is a show about 1930s New England and what goes on when the fog rolls in. The Police are investigating a suspicious factory. Dr Fisk is producing Fisk's Fabulous Formula. This marvelous elixir is suspected of being highly addictive and some darker stories tell of mysterious changes afflicting some long-term consumers. Strange lights burning through the windows and the sounds of uncanny machinery great the investigators and Police. Rail cars containing noxious substances lurk on rusting sidings. The agents look in, you don't make sergeant in this squad by going first Inside the factory a bio-organic machine is making the Elixir. Feel free to imagine all sorts of organic slurping and sucking noises. Gunfire erupts from the window of the factory. With an extradimensional lurch the entire factory lurches on

Call to Arms 2022

Last weekend the Wellington Warlords held our annual convention. It's a bit later than normal because our usual venue was being renovated. This did give us access to a warmer spring weekend rather than the Artic tundra of an August weekend. We had about 100 attendees so that's s pretty good turn-out. The new layout also gave our demonstration game a space outside the frozen zone so that was even better. Here are some photos of all the different games. Some people got together for a classic Warhammer Fantasy Multiplayer game. This was classic Good vs Evil from before the end times. I think this came down to a giant scrum in the middle and a points decision to the forces of Bretonnia. Some players rebooted the original game played at the Warlords first meeting 50 years ago. This was an American Civil War. Some people got together for a couple of games of Kings of War. We had some people playing in a Saga event. There was an event using the Crusades period and then some Dark Ages
