The Daemon's Claw

For the final fight the three brave heroes got together to go and defeat a dragon, it's hatchlings and anyone else in the immediate vicinity. "You go in there and kill anything with more than two legs!" This is our interpretation of the final scene of the Hades scenario. The Dragon (Should that be Dagon?) hatchlings have started to wake up and they are hungry. The Hatchlings bound forwards. The Heroes form a defensive perimeter. Achillies is facing off against the licky tongue frog other misshapen creatures are slithering and hopping towards us Then mummy shows up and she is pissed. She immediately breathes fire and incinerates my archer. "She could not repel firepower of that magnitude." The Dragon then moves into combat with Richard's hero who was busy dealing with his own spawn. Achillies had killed of the licky frog and was heading the other way.  Achillies and his party had tracked the marauding beastmen back to their forest hideout. Having killed several of their leaders we wanted to finish the job. Never leave a good enemy un-slain. The Beastmen also had a witch that was cursing us. I'm also doing this mission solo. Alan had to leave for another commitment.  Here is the layout we have a beastman hero some other beastmen and the witch waiting to appear in her cave mouth. Everything no on the paths is difficult ground so there is an insentive to follow the yellow brick roads and get ambushed, just like Varro did. Achillies has selected a had hitting team of warriors to accompany him. Some have served him well on his adventures and some are new additions. In this mission Alan and I teamed up to pursuit some beastmen raiders that had stolen a waggon of supplies and then promptly go it stuck in the middle of a fast-flowing river. They were cunning, fierce and greedy I never said they were smart In this scenario all the space between the two cliffs is the river and the bit in the centre is the deepest part. I have an archer, a thief and a war pig called bacon sandwich. Alan has his lion, his thief and an archer. most of the heroes made infltration rolls so we got to start closer to the enemy. Achillies and Bacon Sandwich charge the beastmen in the wagon and the fighting starts. The beastmen must have been intoxicated because they promptly all fall over in the river for moving and start floating downstream and drowning. My thief's attempt to be sneaky is foiled when he finds himself downstream of the action and in the clutches of a daughter of Posidon. Again, cunning not smart. We had received an anonymous tip off (from Athena) about there the brothers were hiding out. After we had recovered from the bee stings and the narcotic flowers we advanced on thier position. The event at the end of the turn saw the biggest and baddest cyclops brother arrive in a random corner of the table and this of course was right behind us. Cue pantomime skit. "He's right behind you!" "Oh no he's not!" "Oh yes he is!" For the first scenario at Call to Arms Richard and I were on the trail of three brothers that had murdered their father.  So, subcontractors of divine justice. In this mission we had to get through a field of highly narcotic flowers and defeat a swarm of giant bees and their farm animal friends. In the background, Ed and Alan are playing the ravine ambush mission this time using beastmen rather than skeletons. Anyone reduced to a move of zero would never leave. Also the bee's poisoned you reducing you to one action, did I mention the move reduction by the flowers. I've got movement in front and bee hind!. Bruce has moved into a new building and is drawing a bead on one of the evil characters being controlled by James over to the right. Bruce dives out the window and onto the roof of a station wagon then the tree and the roof of the camper. Bruce then jumped onto the carcass of Lightning McQueen to attack a convict. This was an escaped serial killer so fought back before being finished by a stab from Brice's Katana. Bruce then made it to the roof of a small building. The 4th Doctor was going the other way to convert the Jurassic Park jeep into a device that could defeat the Daleks. Bruce heads off in pursuit of another baddy while some zombies cheer.
