In this mission Alan and I teamed up to pursuit some beastmen raiders that had stolen a waggon of supplies and then promptly go it stuck in the middle of a fast-flowing river. They were cunning, fierce and greedy I never said they were smart
In this scenario all the space between the two cliffs is the river and the bit in the centre is the deepest part.
I have an archer, a thief and a war pig called bacon sandwich. Alan has his lion, his thief and an archer. most of the heroes made infltration rolls so we got to start closer to the enemy.
Achillies and Bacon Sandwich charge the beastmen in the wagon and the fighting starts. The beastmen must have been intoxicated because they promptly all fall over in the river for moving and start floating downstream and drowning.
My thief's attempt to be sneaky is foiled when he finds himself downstream of the action and in the clutches of a daughter of Posidon. Again, cunning not smart. If he falls over, he will be swept offr the table and incapacitated.
Being weighted down by heavy armour is not a good thing. Achillies waves goodbye, to the beastman as it tumbles down the river and he gets to work doing the true work of heroes, looting the wagon.
Alan's thief sloshes over and unlocks the wagon and we find its full of captives, more like a clown car really. We now have to convince them, by shouting, shouting and more shouting! To get across the river while a couple of archers take pot shots at us. Bacon has been shot Alan's Lion died again
My Thief has given his autograph to the daughter of Poseidon and is now watching the beastmen floating down stream towards him.
A Harpy arrives and attacks my archer only to be critical hit and instantly killed.
The farmers are taking fire from the beastman archers and the hot babe takes an arrow through the neck and Achillies won't get his therapeutic massage after the battle.
Achillies is now rather angry and with his rage disadvantage is about to go and make that beastman's life very short. some of the farmers are getting it together and having completed their insurance wavers are leaving the table.
Here we are with everyone victorious. Achillies made it across the table. Bacon Sandwich might have been a third rate companion but he was a first rate second course.
