A couple of weeks out from the event we played some practice missions from the rulebook with two heroes working together to get through entry rulebook missions.
This is the table, on the right is the "despoiled shrine" scenario with the mythic bees sand honey gardens on the left.
with a full 6 by 4 table you can get 4 scenarios on the table.
Chris and I teamed up to rescue the shrine priest from the forces of evil. We were ambushed by Skeletons with archers on the hills and warriors in the valley. I have Hercules an archer and a warrior. Chris has a similar team.
Here is a quick shot where the camera has focused on the Skeleton archer on the hill. Down in the ravine, the race to rescue the priest is on.
Hercules is in combat with the Skeleton Revenant He is supported by his man at arms while his archer exchanges fire with the Skeleton on the ravine wall. One of Chris's warriors has gone down with an arrow sticking from his flesh.
Hercules brings down the Revenant for the loss of his archer companion, he makes it to the priest and releases him, biting through the ropes with his teeth. Raaargh!
Hercules escorts the priest to safety, Chris's Hero also survived,
This is the farm building for the next part of the scenario with some wolves guarding another Revenant.
The book scenarios work well, as you would hope with lots of clues and objectives to do while fighting the bad guys.
