Frostgrave - Alternative warband ideas

I have been having a lot of fun devising and collecting a variety of different warbands for our new Frostgrave campaign. We like to try and make all the models look cohesive so this time we are setting it in the Warhammer world and using mostly "Bad Guy" warbands.

Here is Vandred Hellforger and he apprentice Megara. You can't go wrong with a chaos sorcerer it's a classic. He is all about createing magic artefacts and buffing his fighters with the power of chaos. This is a Grok created background. I asked for a Daemon powered hell forge and it came through.

Here are the rest of the crew on their march southwards. "The next person to ask whether we are there yet, gets Leaped into an ice crevasse"
I used Grok to create the ice background. It did a good job with this one but was less successful with soime of the others. Maybe it's to do with having the right background.

These are the icon breakers of the Jade Obelisk, menhir bad jokes about rocks in their heads. These would make a good Chronomancer warband being all about breaking rocks. This team is great for Frostrgrave, it comes with 10 models in the box and is a good combined-arms team including some archers.

Here are the Tarantulos brood emerging from their cave. These would make a good summoner warband, with possession, summon insect swarm and leap.

Here is my WIP witch hunters warband. Alan liked this concept, so he is making his way n similar team with some better conversions.

Here are my Illusionist shadow stalking elves. They were optimised to use Transpose to steal treasure. It worked exactly like is says on the tin. But it's a really annoying ability so I'm moving away from that strategy.

I bought these snake ladies from Richard at Call to Arms. They make good daemons, or they add archers to my splintered fang warband.
Here are the Splintered Fang Warband, they have a good selection of models but no missile power. This means either converting some to look similar or accepting this and having the wizards act like artillery to do the long-range engagements.

Most of my warbands are photographed on my Rusty Dagger battle board with some of the terrain I made in the background.

This weekend George and I are meeting up in the town of Schlumdorf so I can sell him a construct hammer I found in the first game. There has been a battle there recently so it should be nice and quiet.
