Rusty Dagger -Pirates part 2

We move straight to the second combat encounter with the recently risen members of the former crew. The heroes retain their positions from the end of the last battle. 12 zombies randomly deploy. Unfortunately, Arzag and Olivia are now widely separated and there is not a path where they can quickly get back together. Fortunately the zombies are not as hard to defeat as the Skeletons. Arzag starts off the action with a heavy blow to the zombie behind him. 13-7 He the moves over and hits yellow shirt zombie for 1. Arzag then parries a zombie 7-8 Arzag then stabs the zombie 8-5 The zombie with spear misses Olivia The zombies crowd in and Arzag parries one attack 8-11 but is then hit 9-8 and 9-6 Arzag heavy blows a zombie and then misses, 10-6 and 6-6 A zombie misses 5-12 Arzag doesn't 12-9 and a second zombie crumples. Rusty dagger - Pirates part 1

Arzag has been captain of a pirate ship for a while. Rumours are growing, of a ghost ship that attacks everyone it encounters and leaves no survivors. Possibly something like this. It turns out that the pirates crew is led by Mazmar the Malavolent. He has used the necromantic knowledge gained from a recently acquired grimoire to raise a crew of undead revenants and now sails the seas making war on the living Here is Arzag and Olivia, can they fend off the horde of undead fiends?  As the ghost ship approaches a wave of despair rolls over the crew of Arzag’s ship. The crew start dropping their weapons and slumping down. Arzag manages to break the spell with a rally cry. This gains the heroes and advantage in the next combat. Then from the pirate ship come two volleys of arrows then a wave of skeletons. The mortal crew are pushed back from the rail and the deck becomes slippery with blood. The assault wave of skeletons swarms aboard Arzag’s ship and overwhelms the crew before heading ...

Frostgrave - Alternative warband ideas

I have been having a lot of fun devising and collecting a variety of different warbands for our new Frostgrave campaign. We like to try and make all the models look cohesive so this time we are setting it in the Warhammer world and using mostly "Bad Guy" warbands. Here is Vandred Hellforger and he apprentice Megara. You can't go wrong with a chaos sorcerer it's a classic. He is all about createing magic artefacts and buffing his fighters with the power of chaos. This is a Grok created background. I asked for a Daemon powered hell forge and it came through. Here are the rest of the crew on their march southwards.  "The next person to ask whether we are there yet, gets Leaped into an ice crevasse" I used Grok to create the ice background. It did a good job with this one but was less successful with soime of the others. Maybe it's to do with having the right background.
