Deth Wizards Invading the City

Richard and I got together to continue our rampage through the lands of the living. This time we were off to raid the city. This table needed 9 buildings, and we also had an urban park. Nice to see the living like a bit of green in their built up areas.

Here are the defenders, there are two rangers, two priests and three rogues. The necromancers decide to attack right when the pubs are closing, and the peasants are pouring out into the street to stagger their way home.

Those souls are getting a lot of wear and tear. They should be reallocated to someone that can make more use of them.

Krell turned into a swarm of bugs and went right through the nearest pub and landed right next to a group of peasants that had just left the Scarlet Manticore. One Eruption of Death later and Krell was back at max Necromantic Energy, there were five shriveled husks lying on the ground and Krell also had enough personal kills for the XP point for that.

Richard's Bone Giant wandered into three peasants and smacked them with his club. Richards' necromancer did go and zap the three of them to death. So that's all 8 villagers dead at the end of the first activation.
Now that the pubs are cleared out we can deal with the real defenders.

Krell and his new recruit Wraith-y, went over and got acquainted with some of the defenders. Krell's necromantic energy went up and down like a yoyo. He had knives tossed at him, banishment rituals the works.
Richard's death knight has gone to play catchers mit, with the two warriors in that corner. My Death Knight is lurking with menaces behind the corner of the building

The two warriors counterattack bravely charging the Death Knight. I think mine manages a slow hand clap. "The courage of idiots is courage non the less"

Krell ends up next to two rogues and a priest and with not very much move and almost no energy, so so tired. He moved over and hacked the priest with his axe.

With a swipe of his axe, some ghastly claws and supporting doom bolts from Richards necromancer we managed to get rid of the priests and most of the rogues.
Richard's vampire and my death knight and his death knight start surrounding the warriors. The mortals put up a brave fight, and one hits the death knight for a good chunk of damage but it's a very heroic last stand.

So, all city defenders were death halfway through turn two. That's what you call mortal slaying.

We both got two rolls on the raise minion table at a +1 bonus. Richard managed to raise the two rangers as undead heroes. I managed to fail one roll to resurrect a hero, so I went off and recruited a vampire.

We now have Uncle Festus joining team Krell.

The living just don't have what it takes these days. The side of one undead horde and they run back inside and pull the blankets over their heads. These mortals just don't like it up em. Baaaaargh!
