7TV - going where no game has gone before

Alan and I played a game of 7TV on Saturday down at the club. We used the Pulp rules but used my new Star Trek miniatures. Alan took the Federation and I took the Klingons. We used the 7TV Pulp rules, which is appropriate for the show we were playing.

Once again the game came down to the last turn and the last rolls of the game.

This is the table we created, this is one of my Cigar battlemats with my Gale Force 9 rocky terrain and some trees from my collection. The tower is a piece of Battle Kiwi terrain. As Spock said, "Its a franchise Jim but not as we know it".
Here are the Klingons.
Its the Federation sir, thousands of them. "good, more for us to kill"
The Federation run forwards.
The Klingons shoot down a couple of away team members.
The Klingons advance. A cheap special effect knocks down one of the Klingons and a meteorite explodes and sets another Klingon on fire.
The Federation take control of the objectives, including Kirks little black book which holds the phone numbers to every space princess in the quadrant.
Star Fleet tightened up the regulations on fratenisation with hot sexy aliens after Kirk and Riker charmed their way across the galaxy.
The Klingons take a turn and then steal the scene and have another go. After all the disruptor file ends the Federation cast is axed and down to the stars and a couple of extras.
The Klingon VIP is hiding out in the corner guarded by one of the troopers
The Klingon Batleth champion charges forwards and tried to bearhug Sulu, who slips out of his grasp. He also used a special effect to capture Spock. The Klingon Femme Fatale moved up and shot down one of the ensigns while he was distracted by her smile. The Klingon commander blasted two federation away team members including ensign Janice whose loss demoralised everyone. When you lose your VIP you lose half your stock of Star points.
Captain Kirk, was enraged by the loss of his crew and attacked the Klingon agent. Her smile did not work on Kirk who subdued her.
The Kommanger Klang of the Klingon Empire looked around there were only a few federation rats nearby but they had collected almost all the cheese.
He had read the script after all.
The final battle ended up with the Klingon commander grabbing an objective while the Batleth champion again failed to capture Sulu. The two remaining Klingon troopers needed to inflict a condition on Spock for a VP. However disruptors only inflict one condition - Death. So we needed to inflict two wounds on Spock to kill him. However Spock had a huge pool of defence dice and did not get wounded.

Then the doomsday device exploded and everyone beamed out.

Alan then rolled maximum on the VPs for the maguffin and it was a crushing victory for the federation.

Curses Kirk, remember revenge is a dish best served cold and its very cold in space.
