7TV - V the mini-series - episode two

Alan and I played a second game of 7TV using the V miniseries as the background.

After the last game the Rebels had made it back to their hideout in an abandoned factory. However, an alien tracking device implanted in one of the team had allowed the Visitors to track them back to their hideout. The brave princess volunteered to try and lead the Visitors away.

The Human resistance wanted to know more about the visitors and had prepared a bio storage container that could preserve an Alien's head if they managed to get one.

So somewhere in a derelict industrial park...

In this episode I upgraded Diana from Extra to Star, this gave me two stars and a supporting cast of red shirt security officers

Here is an overview of the Rebel Base as we come into land.
A rousing speech from his Supreme Alienness gave the Visitors an extra 3" move as they start their turn
His Supreme Alienness directing the security team to go around the building and to make sure that when they get shot they should make sure their death scene is spectacular but brief.

Managing the advance of the security team, you go there, you go there, no a bit more to your left, no the other left.
Diana runs forwards up the middle
Meanwhile on the other side of the board, the Resistance are waking up to the fact that they are under attack. Get to the run down car, no the other one with gas in it. Cue Benny Hill chase music as the Resistance try and exit stage right.
Diana advances and then unleashes a couple of blob monsters. These stab one of the rear guard to death but then dissolve back into a puddle of slime.
Shh keep vewwwy qwiet. The Resistance are making a break for it down the side. They open fire on Diana and completely fail to inflict any damage. They then seize the initiative and fail to inflict any damage again. See Resistance is futile
The Supreme Alienness leads the security team through the ruined factory.
Diana attacks the Resistance. The Alien overlord runs over an unleashes the dust of weakness on everyone who was conveniently clusters by the fence.
See this is how you do it. The security detachment activate and capture two of Alan's guards. They can use their weapons to inflict the captured state. Jason Momosa had the maguffin. Capturing him alive proved to be a bad move, he escaped, killed is captor and then stuffed his head in a preserve jar. Next time we will capture him dead.
When I went to seize the initiative I drew a card that allowed Alan to Dominate the Supreme Alienness. Thats the second game in a row when he has changed sides at the wrong moment. My fiendish plan to unleash another doze of the weakness dust on the Resistance and kill off all the extras went out the window.
The resistance managed to kill off the Supreme Alienness by stabbing him with swords and a vigorous karate chop action Hai, Yah! In the last turn Diana got really mad and grew to giant size. She tentacled an extra to death. She also summoned two blob monsters to kill Jason but the brave Resistance fighter managed to throw the brain jar out the window as he was killed, this meant the resistance kept the Maguffin.
Jason meeting his demise at the hands of Mr and Mrs Smith.
The final positions, we almost managed to inflict the captured state on Alan's co-star but came up one point short.

The resistance are still on the table but still have the Maguffin so they won the encounter 4 - 2. Curses foiled again.

Loads of fun and down to the last dice roll again.
