Spearhead - Slaves to Darkness

Alan very kindly organised a Spearhead event on day 2 of the May 2-day meeting. So, 7 of us got together for 3 games of Spearhead.

I Played Nick and his Skaven. It was Nick's first game and my 4th.

Here are the two armies deployed. The Chaos Warriors took the first turn.

The chariot and one unit of warriors charge across the table. The Chariot assassinates the Warplock engineer but is then ripped apart by the Rat Ogres. The Chaos Warriors slaughter innumerable clan rats but they keep coming back. The other Chaos Warriors and the Lord are holding the central objective. The Skaven skitter around the ruined wall.

The Clan Rats make a move to capture the central objective while the Warlord looks on from the preferred position of Skaven Leadership. They bounced pretty hard while the other Rats snuck onto the other side of the objective to try and drown it in Bodies.

The Rat Ogres had killed 4 chaos Warriors in their turn, so they Rallied and 3 of the 4 casualties got better. The Chaos Knights arrived and demolished the unit of Clan Rats.

After Dealing with one unit of Rats the Chaos Lord and Warriors went after the Rat Boss, This is the before

And After....

The Grey Seer decided that being surrounded by Chaos Warriors was not the optimum position to be, so led the surviving Rats in an attack on the Central objective.

The Chaos Lord and the Chaos Warriors pile into even more Clan Rats. It looks like a Chaos Warrior has fallen over again. I think he got Withered by the Grey Seer.

The Grey Seer finds itself in combat with the Chaos Lord and squirts the Musk of Fear. Surrounded by most of the Chaos Warriors the Rats don't last long.

So a Victory for Chaos, Huzzah!
