Hobby Update - The Road to Adepticon part 3

I am playing in the Saga age of Chivalry event at Adepticon. Of course, this meant I needed a new army and the new army book along with the appropriate Saga dice.

I'm taking an English Army, based on the Lewes and Evesham battles during one of England's many civil wars. 

This models are made from the Wargames Atlantic Medieval peasants. You can make them with more farm implements for a real horde or with more sensible weapons. The Warlord and Hearthguard are from Footsore miniatures Barons War range.

Here is an overview of the army. I have 5 points of warriors and 1 point of Hearthguard.

Some of the archers. I have enough for 3 units.
Some more archers and some of the spearmen.
The Wargames Atlantic models take paint well and I used contrast paint for several of the colours.

    They look great. You can only hope they perform as good as they look. Better get that "new paint curse" worked off them soon.

    Thanks, it will be fun. The English have a lot of shooting stratagems so I get to use quotes like "You may fire when ready"

I got in against Ben and his Star Striders, The Genestealers had made a lair in some old ruins. The Starstrider crew needed to cross this dangerous area so they could recover a valuable relic. Here are the Genestealers lying in wait for any that enter their territory. I placed once stealer in the open because I knew I could Salk it into cover and threaten the mid board. The Star Strider's motion trackers started going off, but they could not lock down the locations of the Genestealers while they were hiding in the ruins. The Genestealers are scuttling forwards. 7TV Vlads Army - the climax - Battle at the Church

 The Home Guard have raced back to their headquarters at the Church. (its the only place with a working phone). They have found the vicar and verger inside and have amassed a stock of supplies with which to make maguffins and other unique weapons of war. Just then a dark smokey cloud spreads over the graveyard and long dead hands start erupting from the ground. The Vampires have arrived, and this time they are led in person by Major Shreck. Can the Home Guard drive off the fiends of the night? Here is the church and its surrounding graveyard. (Seriously, who does that?) To the right is the church hall and at the bottom a couple of bomb-damaged houses. There is a war on. Here are the brave defenders taking their positions. Stargrave game 2 - It's a bug hunt

  George and I got in a second game of our Stargrave campaign. We used the dead or alive mission and generated the Brood Mother. I didn't think it made much sense for a group of human mercenaries to work for a creature that kept trying to get them to bathe in marinade. I replaced all the mercenaries with spiders using the creatures from Quadrant 37. We used the Transmat to beam down to the planet Spiridon This is a very hostile jungle planet teaming with all sorts of lethal predators. Receiving reports of unidentified aliens hiding in the Plane of Stones we set out through the jungle to find out what was going on.  Here is the Raknos nest, somewhat unexpected.
