Kill Team - Brutal and Cunning

The Warlords have started a second Kill Team league. This already puts it in the top 1 percent of all wargames initiatives. Not only has it got past the talking about it phase, but it's been successfully run once and is now back for a second even larger go.

I'm playing my Plague Marines. In the first game I have to attack a squad of Veteran Guardsmen who have holed up in a fortified compound.

Here is an overview of the compound. the attacker is coming on from either end, the objective is to seize control of the objective at the end of turn 4. I chose the Night Attack stratagem which means all shots at targets outside the compound from more than 6 inches are Obscured.
Here is the team, in the end I left out the plague marine fighter. I didn't think I would need the combat power against Guardsmen.
In the opening moves I put down my Cloud of Flies marker to give me obscuring and then moved up with my warrior. I could not quite charge Ed's Troopers, so I settled for shooting the Confidant next to the rubble pile.
The Plasma Gunner took a shot at the Plague Marine Heavy Gunner who survived thanks to being obscured. The Icon Bearer then rumbled forwards and shot the Grenade launcher gunner in the back of the head. Surprisingly the gunner managed to fire back but missed. The second shot then took out the Plama Gunner hiding under the overhang. The rest of the troopers are waiting in the central compound.
The two troopers at the top floor charge the plague marine. The first throws a Krak Grenade and then charges and his comrade follows. Neither trooper fights the marine. The marine takes damage from the grenade but is then healed by the squad psycher.
The heavy gunner waddled over and sticks his plague spewer throw the window and hoses down the trooper. In a spectacular save roll only 6 damage goes through leaving the trooper on 1 wound and poisoned.
The Melta gunner moved up and promptly missed, the Sergeant didn't and the gunner died.
The Warrior got to stab one of the guardsmen with his plague knife.
After a mortar barrage from the Spotter the Icon Bearer is brought down with a club to the face from the Bruiser.
The Champion dashed around the corner of the bunker to get an unobstructed shot at the veteran and then relocated back around the bunker. He still took a shot from the sniper.
The Warrior managed to pull off a triple kill, he stabbed the two warriors in close combat and then shot down the trooper in the compound. The Plague Caster moved up and tried to shoot the sniper but the sniper shrugged off the plage wind with a great save roll. The Sergeant then moved over and shot the plague caster. 
The Sniper was taken out by the Grenadier, once he was on Engage he was easy to locate and neutralise.
Counter actions saw the Plague Caster kill a Trooper and almost get the Sergeant who was also saved by a great armour save. The Warrior took out the Spotter on the balcony opposite.

This left the Guard with their sergeant and Bruiser against 4 plague Marines so the Guard conceded. Two more cultists of Nurgle to swell the ranks.

Plague Marines are hard to kill and even harder when obscured.
