Rangers of ShadowDeep - The Sacrifice

The heroes gathered themselves at the top of the stairs, ready for the final push. A scream from inside the room and the heroes burst in

Inside the room the Baron has Marion tied to a pentagram and is waving a sacrifice. The Baron is guarded by a Saracen Assassin he brought back from the Crusades. 
Robin fired an arrow at the figure and got a critical hit. The Saracen warrior slumped to the floor. 
I was planning to shoot the Saracen and charge in with support to finish him off, so over achieving threw my plan out of the window.

Herne moved into the room and zapped the Baron with the Silver arrow. This was a good start because the Baron is partially immune to non-magic weapons. The Baron had archers on the look-out platform. The took shots at Herne through the windows fortunately they missed.
Little John and the soldier we had rescued from the torture chamber took out the archers, one went over the side.
The Baron stabbed Will with his cursed dagger. He only had to hold us off for 4 more turns then the stars would be aligned and the sacrifice could be completed.
Everyone tries to attack the Baron, but his diabolic powers allow him to slip behind Will's guard and land a telling blow.
The heroes swarm the Baron and Robin uses Albion to invoke the powers of Light and Darkness to slay the Baron.
The heroes end up in control of the tower, Marion was rescued. After the band made it back to Sherwood Forest, Marion joined the team.

Thats the end of the first mission, this is a lot of fun. I have changed my experience rule to halve the amount of XP needed to go up a level. Otherwise, it takes forever to get enough experience to gain a level.

Stargrave 40k - "we just got our asses kicked man"

Alan and I went up to the Bring and Buy day at the Kapiti Club in Paraparaumu. We took our Stargrave game. In this case we had followed our leads to an abandoned factory. However when we got there we realised that the factory was far less abandoned than we had hoped. As we approached we could hear the sounds of chanting and the smell of old blood. It certainly didn't sound like Slaaneshi cultists. Here is an overview of the factory mounds of overgrown rubble and broken machinery. At locations around the factory were groups of red robed figures crouched over bits of equipment. They appeared to be trying to unlock the access to an underground silo. Here is the new Inquisition strike team. We have two new commandos and a doctor along with a former heretic that had been reprogrammed into an assault gladiator. 7TV Vlads Army - the climax - Battle at the Church

 The Home Guard have raced back to their headquarters at the Church. (its the only place with a working phone). They have found the vicar and verger inside and have amassed a stock of supplies with which to make maguffins and other unique weapons of war. Just then a dark smokey cloud spreads over the graveyard and long dead hands start erupting from the ground. The Vampires have arrived, and this time they are led in person by Major Shreck. Can the Home Guard drive off the fiends of the night? Here is the church and its surrounding graveyard. (Seriously, who does that?) To the right is the church hall and at the bottom a couple of bomb-damaged houses. There is a war on. Here are the brave defenders taking their positions. The vicar briefly protested as his windows are broken to make firing ports. Alan won initiative for the first time in the campaign. Major Shrek raised the Iron Cross and the horde shambled forwards. Alan also got the effect that meant he could only move once per turn.

Battlefleet Gothic - game three - mining claim dispute

For game three of the BFG campaign, my fleet was dispatched to a mining colony that was being plagued by Demiurge. These abhumans would harvest and refine all sorts of materials and energy sources before selling them to the highest bidder. They also tended to view enemy ships as a nice convenient package of refined materials. We ended up with a fleet engagement. This is my third engagement of this type. I ended up flanking the Demiurge, kind of a pincer movement if it goes well and a dagger to the heart if not.  One the left side the Battlebarge Reaper forms a battlegroup with the Eternal Vigilance. Here are the Demiurge, there is a battleship and three cruisers. These ships are highly automated, something the Adeptus Mechanicus finds to be an abomination.  This battlegroup is comprised of the Flaming Sword of Irrefutable Justice a new arrival in the sector in formation with the James T.
