Alan, Richard and I have decided to get in some more games of Kill Team using chapters from the Badab War. We will start playing this after Call to Arms. Using Kill Team makes it really easy to get into the game. Alan is going to make some Characaradons, I have the Executioners and Richard is making the Astral Claws. The Badab War chapters come in two flavours, original from the 1980s and new recipe from the recent Imperial Armour books ~2010. There is plenty of opportunity for painting and modelling. The club also has a Salamanders army. The Salamanders were also part of the Badab War so someone can use those if they want to join in. Using the same armies gets away from the mismatches where 5 marines are trying to corral 20 Hormagaunts. This is especially true if we are using the Arena rules where its a great advantage to have a large number of bodies to block up the objectives. We will be looking for additional players to join our narrative campaign.

Its a nice night to slay again. - Apologies to Billy Idol The rest of our Frostgrave gaming group were off doing SCA stuff this weekend so Alan and I got in a bonus game of Frostgrave. We played a scenario based on the Rangifier mission in Thaw on the Lichlord. Put the central treasure down and the other treasures 6" away from this point aligned towards each corner. But two Barbarians next to the central treasure and one next to each other treasure. I was using a mix of Hasslefree and Avatars of War Dwarf Berserkers. I decided it was a Dwarf wedding ritual where the bride and groom and their closest friends stand guard over the dowry for a night in Frostgrave. They get to keep whatever they can guard. Usually is a cold night and some monsters but tonight its marauding bands of wizards and their retinues. This is an overview of the battlefield. Alan is using a Witch for his warband so he has a couple of bears in his crew. These are by far the best animal companions and are no hard
After the least battle which ended with the death of Herne, Marion was promoted to the Wizard and hired Isadora a new apprentice. Everyone else was OK so we headed off for a new battle and search for knowledge. We might also have to rescue any gold and jewels that are lying around getting cold. We encountered Alan's witch warband when we were investigating the ruins of a wizards house. Apparently the dumb waiter system was still working (that's some warranty) even if nothing else was. Here is the warband, I painted a new wizard and apprentice. Marion is now a bit less frightened young woman one step away from being sent to a convent and is now a force for nature and the freedom of the people of Sherwood. Here is the team deployed. Here we are running towards the treasure The central treasure is up the top of the tower. There will be plenty of elevation in this game. Also we have moved all the high point terrain into the middle of the table to prevent sniper towers in the deplo
